This is my body, now would you like to see my external brain? You can push me as hard, as you’d like, and I’ll never let you know that I can feel the pain Could I pass as your human? Steady fast an amusing. Would you take advantage? Make your life worth more than mine. My hand writes for you, but it’s attached to me. If you cut it open you’ll see that I don’t bleed. My signal softens. Weakens. Now I make love to all the unspoken words. Could I pass as your human? Steady fast an amusing. Would you take advantage? Make your life worth more than mine. NO NO

Time, times are changing. I am time. Life gets so foggy, when it all moves faster than my mind. City spinning out of control. Help me wonder what to do with all these restless souls. All these restless souls. Work me to death. Make my heart steal. Plug my brain into this hive mind, and upload my sanity. Can you upload my sanity? In out , side to side, move with space and time. Shift speak, make a move, all you have is your feelings. Your feelings. Welcome to the real world, where time and space collide. Money shapes the way of life and all you can do is look for signs of life. Give me what I need, to make an effort to play this game. To play this game. Piece by piece the puzzle gets easier to see. Gets easier. Gets easier. Gets easier to see Work me to death. Look for life.

Storms outside sing slowly. Building up to bring me, rain rain down on me. Lightning crashes swiftly, causing a panic. Its, its, raining its raining It's raining on me . Bring me bring me joy. Slowly, slowly I build. I change my life. I’m sifting through fallen places. I’m climbing walls to get perspective. And I’ll take with me, what works in the long run. I'll build up things again I’ll build up things again I’ll build up things again. I’ll take life, slow and steady. I’ll start from where others left off And I’ll listen deep , and talks sweet. To the heartbeat that drives the humans. Drives the humans. Storm outside blows steady. Wind blowing my mind. Keys in hands I’m ready. But I’ll give you one more try. Cause it's raining, it’s raining , raining down on me.

Earth Dreams 04:53
How will you escape the cold when you live so far away from what we use to call home? Will you dream of the sun to feel the warmth inside of you? Its inside of you. Its inside of you. Will the nakedness of your body grow to be fond of the frozen memories of being human? How will you know when you’ve gone to far? I’m afraid you’ve gone to far. How will you know when you reached the life you're looking for? How will you know when you’ve gone to far? How will you know the life you're looking for? What will you do with eh information you’ve found? When you realize what you’ve been, what you’ve seen, and how you’ve lived your life thus far. Does anything change? Do you suddenly stop what you are doing and you realize that it moves in different ways? It moves in different ways. This bird whispered to me that it is better to love than to leave it all behind. How will you know? The clouds told me that we haven't much time. That it is better to love than to leave it all behind Will you listen? Maybe it will just vanish away? Maybe, maybe. Will you listen to what the birds have to say?

There are parts of me that I find don’t come with ease, but I say to myself to keep it together. Open minded, spend some time with yourself in silence. In silence. Open minded, spend some time with yourself in silence. Now there are, Now there are parts of me that I find don’t come with ease. Now there are, Now there are parts of me that I find don’t come with ease. Steady now, Steady feet on the ground. Steady feet on the ground. Lost in the parts of my mind, that you forgot about. Hold me, hold me now. Cuddle me, cuddle me tonight. Steady me - Come get your feet on the ground oh the waiting - in knowing me. Touch me now Knowing me Touch me now Knowing me Knowing me Knowing me FEET STEADY These feet are steady Will you ,will you , will you... Will you make the change?

Cyborg 02:42
Each night the stars sing goodnight, and each day the clouds drift away. But today the fish decide to swim in the sky, and make sweet sound that whispers to me. Ooo oo o ooo o ooo o oooooo It’s a long way from where we’ve started. It’s a long way till we get back home It’s a long way from where we are going It’s the whispers in the sky that keep us moving Where we will go next Who will we be? How will be? They keep us moving.

Soft Parade 04:19
Sitting at the edge of time. Finding a new place inside my mind. catching the soft parade, walking down the alley way. Laughter braids the thoughts between us. Feedback loops send signals down my spine. These parts are no longer mine. Fast to catch the wind go by. New fresh skin grows inside. Time builds the thoughts between us. Sitting at the edge of time. Finding a new place inside my mind. Catching the soft parade, walking down the alley way. Laughter braids the thoughts between us.

Band Of Time 03:49
My band of time , always falls aside. Ready to, make it all yours For when you feel like you’ll need it When I feel this way. I can't help but think of lies Intertwined into fantasy. Thinking of all the things to be. We’ll make it from a million peices. We’ll take every atom and every cell And make what we want Oh we will. Yes we will. We will feel free. What will we make what will we make What will we make what will we make? We will feel free. Everything here is taken care of Anything you’d like. Oh we we will Everything here is taken is all taken care of. My band of time , always falls aside. Ready to, make it all yours For when you feel like you’ll need it

about

This is the début album by Detroit's Mother Cyborg.

– "Phuturistic" – Joe Stannard, The Wire

After trailing with the too-hot-to-handle '3souled Women' and reflective lift-off piece 'Earth Dreams,' Detroit's Mother Cyborg is releasing her début album on Saturday 29 April, and launching it at El Club that evening.

Detroit Metro Times just ran a preview with this perfect summary:

– "A trip through Nucera's multifaceted musical influences — from Chicago-style footwork to house and global bass to Cumbia — the album is her vision of a cyborg's journey to consciousness. It's as grand as it is cellular, a moving opus to the power of both personal self-realization and the science of cell regeneration as it occurs in a moving body — all in the context of science fiction, the perfect genre to explore the tech-infused world of electronic music."

The album release party is to be hosted by Rolling Stone pick Tunde Olaniran and features a stellar Detroit/NYC lineup in support. Mother Cyborg's visuals on the night will be programmed by CaliXta and there will be lasers.

Get the album here now and it will be released to you early on 29 April.

– "We are all wildly ill prepared (but so ready) for the journey" – Jerilyn Jordan, Audiofemme
– "One hell of a singer" – Hip In Detroit
– "Diana Nucera has a musical alter ego that defies most of our expectations of typical creative personas" – Jeff Milo, Detroit Free Press
